Meet the Author and Presenter
Gregory D. Schutte, MSW, LISW-S
Greg has been working for Marriage Works! Ohio, a department of the Elizabeth’s New Life Center (Dayton, Ohio), since 2006. He started as their Director of Marriage Education and within a year and a half, was promoted to the Director of Marriage Works! Ohio. The Elizabeth New Life Center received, in 2006, the Administration for Children and Families’ (ACF) third largest grant and, in 2011, 1 of the 4 largest grants in the United States to do Marriage Education. Marriage Works! Ohio was selected in 2009 by the ACF Office of Family Assistance as one of eight Promising Practices in Marriage Education in the United States. Greg has been the Keynote Speaker at several Marriage and Family Conferences and events throughout the Western Ohio region. Greg hosted (2015-2017) the radio program: “Living out the Sacrament of Marriage” on Radio Maria.
Greg created the Building a Eucharistic Marriage program as one part of the “Discovering Our Deepest Desire” curriculum. The DODD Curriculum also includes a 12-part Catholic marriage enrichment program, as well as, its Non-Denominational counterpart “Rekindling the Heart”, based off Greg’s years of providing therapy to married couples, and his research of the Theology of the Body. The DODD curriculum received an imprimatur from Bishop Binzer of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in November 2013 for the English version and in April 2015 for the Spanish translation.
Greg has been married for 31 wonderful years and is the proud father of 7 children. Greg has also been a member of the Catholic band ROMANS since 1996 and has two recordings: Come to Life and High Fidelity, along with several original songs which are individually sold on the web.
